Rhapsody Apex Legends Mobile Release Date Explained

This week, Rhapsody becomes the latest character to enter the arena on King’s Canyon. And having revealed her official backstory and how it connects to the wider universe, we also found out that Rhapsody’s release date has been scheduled for Tuesday, July 12, 2022, in Apex Legends Mobile. The new character comes with a unique set of abilities that look set to shake up the current meta. But that won’t extend to the console or PC version in July. As of right now, Rhapsody will only be playable in Apex Legends Mobile.

Respawn has already confirmed that the Android and iOS versions of the game will get its own content, and that appears to extend to new characters built for the mobile experience. That doesn’t mean things won’t change in the future, but for July 2022, Rhapsody will only be found in Apex Mobile.

The official Apex Legends site confirms that new characters will drop on Android and iOS, with the term ‘Mobile-First’ leaving the door open for a wider launch on other platforms in the future.

The full post from Respawn reads: “We’ve worked hard with Lightspeed Studios to expand the world of Apex Legends with new mobile-first legends, maps, gameplay, modes, progression and live events. If you like the console and PC Apex Legends experience, you’ll love Apex Legends on mobile.”

And for those who want to prepare for her arrival, Rhapsody’s abilities can be found listed below and include the following choices:

Passive: Gifted Ear – You pick up and visualize sounds from an extended range

Tactical: Hype Anthem – Play a powerful track that speeds up nearby squadmates and recharges shields. Taking damage will end the effect.

Ultimate Ability: Rowdy’s Rave – Rowdy projects a wall of flashing lights that blocks incoming sight and scans.
